Our Review: Ziggy TV offers you a P2P download manager from where you can download thousands of TV shows, movies, music, games, CD/DVD covers and more. On top of that, Ziggy TV offers you a number of streaming TV and radio stations all under one roof. Some of these channels will only work in the US, whilst others try to launch separate applications which may need to be installed separately by following the prompts (such as TVU Player). Access the channel listings on Ziggy TV by selecting the appropriate tab at the top of the page, each corresponding to a particular genre such as TV shows, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Movies, Learning, Music, Sports, Top 200, etc. Whilst many of these channels are available for free on the parent website (e.g. MTV, ESPN, etc) Ziggy TV pulls them all together and arranges them by genre and popularity for you, saving you time and generally making your life easier. Many TV channels however will not work unless you happen to live in the US (with a US-based IP address). However, the radio stations and games available are more freely available no matter where you live. After downloading the Ziggy HDTV software and installing it, you'll need to select from the 3 tabs at the top of the window - either "Watch TV", "Radio" or "Games". Within each tab, you'll be able to search for channels by genre, country and popularity, but unfortunately you will not be able to perform a search, either by the name of the channel or the name of a TV show. That's where the separate P2P download manager comes in... The separately available P2P download manager works (and looks like) Limewire, allowing you to search for your favorite movies and TV shows by name and download them directly to your hard drive, either for viewing on your PC/Mac or for burning to DVD. With the combination of this P2P download manager bundled in with the Ziggy HDTV streaming TV software, we think that Ziggy TV has pretty much all the basis covered.
