Our Review: Like most of the other sites in this category, Limeshare.org provides guidance and software to enable their members to quickly and easily download millions of files from Peer-2-Peer users all over the world. In a matter of minutes you can begin downloading unlimited numbers of songs, movies, CD/DVD covers, codecs, software, games and lots of other great stuff. Whether you sign up for the 1 year, 2 years or lifetime membership, you will only be asked to make a single payment - there will be no recurring bills and you won't have any pay-per-download fees. As there is no expiration date on the songs you download, you can play them over and over again forever. You can also burn them to CD if you would like to play them in your car or in your home-stereo system. For an additional $15.28 per year (i.e. $1.29 per month), Limeshare says you can "Get Blazing Fast Downloads + 1 Year Download Protection (Free Updates & New releases)". However, you should be aware that the free updates and free new releases of the software are supplied at no additional cost by many of our top ranked music download sites. In fact, one of the main reasons to opt for lifetime membership is to benefit from the continuous software upgrades that are available in the members' area. So we don't think you should have to pay extra for this facet of the add-on. We didn't find a dramatic increase in the download speed with this particular add-on either, so we can't really recommend that you go for it and pay almost 50% extra on top of the Lifetime membership. Although the logo on the Limeshare website confusingly refers to "Limewire" (a popular P2P download network), you should be aware that Limeshare is not run by the same people as Limewire. So we think it is somewhat disingenuous of Limeshare to be trying to associate themselves with a more popular rival. So although Limeshare is a reasonably good music download site, we think that there are other sites which will provide you with a better service. So we recommend that you read the reviews we've written on some of the other music download sites before you decide which site to sign up with.
