Flickr Music is new to our list of music download sites, and as such we are not quite sure how it will fare. The name is synonymous with the infamous photo sharing site Flickr.com, however it is worth noting that the two are totally unrelated - could this be trademark abuse at work? Users may be forgiven for thinking that they would be buying into the famous Flickr brand name by joining this site, but this is simply not the case. Nevertheless, we feel that Flickr Music is a worthy entry at #6 on our top 10 list of music download sites. It has an excellent choice of music and movie files and a reasonable choice in game and software titles.

Unlike most of the other music download sites we've reviewed, Flickr Music actually lets you search for your favorite artists, albums and songs before you sign-up. However, with album images in the search results borrowed from Amazon.com, we are not sure whether finding an album or song in the search results guarantees you will find it on the supplied P2P music download software that comes with this site. It's just more of a guide as to what's available really, which may mislead many users. Nevertheless, we searched the supplied P2P software rigorously looking for songs that were fairly obscure, and we managed to find them all! So that put our minds well and truly at ease.
