Our Review:

Unlike other file sharing sites we've reviewed, UseNeXT is not a P2P (peer-to-peer) filesharing site, but a Usenet site, offering you software to enable you to search and download from over 60,000 Usenet groups across the net. With over 800 Tb of files online, you're sure to find all the movies, games and music you're looking for here! Usenet is a distributed network of newsgroups used by individuals and large corporations, and have been around since 1979. They include groups on all sorts of different subjects, from movies and erotica to music, games, warez and more. For more information on Usenet, including its history and widespread use, check out this Wikipedia article.

The software provided by UseNeXT essentially allows you to search these Usenet posts for files which can be downloaded. With many newsgroups dedicated almost exclusively to file-sharing, there is no shortage of movies, games, music, and TV shows that can be downloaded from Usenet groups, provided you have the right software to find them and download them. The German based UseNeXT.de site provides you with exactly that software, and also comes with a free 14-day trial. However, you should be careful to cancel your free trial before the 14 days are up if you don't want your free trial membership to automatically revert to one of the paid membership plans.

Unlike P2P networks, where users are virtually anonymous (detectable only by their IP address in some cases) users downloading from Usenet sites remain completely anonymous, giving you 100% privacy protection and great peace of mind.

Despite these great plus points, the rather confusing joining options coupled with the fact that you are likely to find more popular movies, games and music on most P2P networks, means we've ranked UseNeXT lower down our top 10 list. Check out the rest of our top 10 file-sharing sites for more options, or click the button below and check out the online demo at UseNeXT.de before you sign-up...
